The mission of BCESD 1 is to safely deliver the highest quality of emergency services through operational excellence, competence, and care with integrity, compassion, and dedication.
An Emergency Services District (ESD) is a local government agency created by a vote of the public to provide fire protection and/or emergency medical services (EMS). The governing statute for an ESD is Chapter 775 of the Texas Health and Safety Code. There are more than 350 ESDs in Texas, 4 of which are in Brazos County.
